From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel offered something special. The building itself exudes timeless charm—rich in character, with architectural details that speak to its storied past. Yet, what truly impressed us was how seamlessly this heritage has been paired with modern sophistication. Every facility, from the rooms to the communal spaces, has been thoughtfully updated to an outstanding standard, striking the perfect balance between classic elegance and contemporary comfort. The service throughout our stay was nothing short of superb. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, consistently warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our experience memorable. It’s rare to encounter such a high level of hospitality that feels both polished and personal. This was more than just a hotel stay—it was a class experience from start to finish. Whether you’re seeking a romantic getaway, a refined retreat, or simply a place that understands the art of true hospitality, this gem delivers in every way.

This hotel is exceptionally beautiful. Breath taking in fact! Location could not be beaten. The staff were attentive although their English was not very good and my French was worse! Really, the location does it all, for this hotel. It is small and exclusive. There are 3 eating options ( 2 bistros and the Michelin star restaurant) all of which are superb, and something to suit every taste and budget. Private parking is available at an additional cost but public car parks are very near by.

The Moulin de l’Abbaye has an ideal location overlooking the river and with views of the Abbey. The room was comfortable and well appointed. The staff were very friendly although we would have appreciated more recommendations for restaurants that weren’t linked to the hotel.

This hotel is just amazing. Brings romance back to life. With its beautiful settings. Lovely large well equipped bedroom. Location was a five minute walk to everything in the town. the hotels right by the river. The hotel staff could not do enough for you. Whe had the hotel 4 course meal. Wow wow wow! The food was just fantastic. Thanks everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special. X

First of all after our tour of the whole of France, and staying in 12 hotels...5 stars mainly, only 2 properties exceeded our expectations.One of them was the idyllic Moulin de Abbaye and the dreamy dreamy dreamy location and environment they have created. It feels like a little forest fairy tale. Each corner of the small property is touched and cared to detail. From the moulin, to the gardens, the grass, the green, the window for breakfast and the dinner setting. Next time I will try and get the top room with bath tub, since I bet will be even more amazing. We had an exceptional stay on the 2 rooms we rented, and will recommend with no doubt this dreamy place to couples in honeymoon or seeking for romance in France.
